Formed in 1998 by band leader Andrew Hennessey, the Wild Geese have travelled the length and breadth of
Scotland to play Ceilidhs at venues big and small in the most interesting of Scottish weather conditions and
scenery.

The 3 piece line-up comprises; Andrew on electric fiddle and calling the dances, Steve Tyler on Guitar and vocals
and Marc Marnie on drums and we can also travel as a 4 piece with Jim Bryce on Keyboards and Bass Guitar.

Andrew comes from the tradition of the Edinburgh Highland Reels and Strathspey Society and has travelled for folk
concerts to the UN in Vienna, and played session in many resident ceilidh and function bands and has also played
support to the Medieval Babes and Status Quo in Holland in 1999 whilst touring with a folk rock band. He has been
recorded on several folk CD's.

Steve the guitarist has an impressive array of styles and instruments playing Latin and World guitar at a prestigious
residency in Edinburgh and also rock guitar with an Edinburgh group. He is also a Sitar player and takes part in
Indian music festivals and concerts. His latest addition is the electronic pipes.

Marc on drums brings a wild, dynamic and interesting rock style to the mix with his kit which keeps us well away
from the more biscuit tin approach to this music. He also plays with other line ups including jazz and Death Star4.

Jim, our keyboards and bass player is an established Scottish composer and theatre producer and can also sing.
His stage show Whiskey Kisses at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe had some fine musical additions to the Scottish
idiom.

Wild Geese is made up of 4 experiences muscians. They are an experienced outfit that have played at the big
Scottish venues and can easily adapt your event to the needs of your guests.

Whether its singing songs or involving people in the dances - they have other options on the night if needed.
