The popular outfit covers the very best of ‘good time' jazz, blues and rhythm & blues – from Louis Prima to Van Morrison, Ray Charles to Jamie Cullum. Whilst also composing some pretty smart material of their own. Indeed, they feel comfortable in declaring that they have “something for everyone”. The in-demand band (!) burn rubber up and down the length and breadth of the UK. Performing at jazz clubs, festivals, parties, functions and events of all shapes and sizes – even a millionaires wedding! The Big Easy have gone from strength to strength since forming some 2 years ago and have gained admirers from all corners of the music scene mainly due to their appealing renditions of classic jazz and blues numbers and thoroughly entertaining live shows. Indeed, Big Bear Music were impressed enough to invite them to perform in the Birmingham International Jazz Festival 2006. Whilst also taking in the Coventry Jazz Festival and Town & Country Festival the same year and being featured on CWR radio, Heart fm and Touch fm along the way. It is therefore no surprise that The Big Easy are attracting much interest. With such a fast growing reputation they are quite simply becoming a band difficult to ignore. Indeed they are a well sought after unit and already being lined up for a number of top festivals in the spring and summer of 2009! |
